What is a Creative Therapy?
We cannot always find the right words to express ourselves, somehow we do not seem to be able to describe our thoughts or mood and communicate how we are feeling to ourselves and also those around us. In creative arts therapy sessions we are able to gain a new perspective and “play around” with new possibilities to find new solutions for our difficulties.
The creative therapies make use of a variety of different techniques such as drawing, painting, clay, sand trays, storytelling and role play to help you gain a new understanding of what may seem like an old problem. It can be used with people of all ages, not just with children and young people.
The Creative Arts Therapies can be used to help people who are experiencing difficulties with a wide range of life’s challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties.
